Privacy

Privacy. Plainly explained.

Dirty Ibis Digital respects the information you share with us. This page explains what we collect through this website, why we collect it, how we use it and the choices you have.

Last updated: 16 August 2026

01 · What we collect

Only what helps us understand the conversation.

When you use the contact form, we may collect:

  • your name and email address
  • your organisation and phone number, if you choose to provide them
  • what is happening or the problem you want to discuss
  • whether you have an idea of the kind of help you need.

Please avoid including sensitive personal information unless it is genuinely necessary for the enquiry.

Our hosting and security systems may also create standard technical logs, such as IP address, browser/device information and request data, for operation and security purposes.

02 · How we collect and hold it

Mostly from you, directly.

We collect personal information when you submit the website contact form, email us directly, or provide information while discussing or delivering work.

The current website contact form sends your enquiry to our business inbox. It does not create a separate WordPress database record of the form submission.

Information may still be retained in email systems, hosting/security logs and normal business records where reasonably required.

03 · Why we use it

To respond, solve the problem and run the business.

We may use personal information to:

  • respond to an enquiry and arrange a conversation
  • understand your needs and prepare or provide services
  • communicate about an active or potential engagement
  • maintain appropriate business, security and administrative records
  • meet legal, regulatory or contractual obligations.

Submitting an enquiry does not add you to a marketing list. If we introduce marketing subscriptions later, we will ask separately.

04 · Who may receive it

Only where there is a practical reason.

We may disclose information to trusted service providers that support the website, hosting, email, security or business operations, and to specialist contractors where their involvement is genuinely needed to deliver work.

We do not sell personal information.

Some cloud, hosting or email providers may process or store information outside Australia. The location can vary depending on the provider and infrastructure used.

05 · Security and retention

Reasonable protection, sensible retention.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to a small digital practice, including secure hosting, HTTPS, access controls and spam/security protections around the contact form.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, an ongoing business relationship, normal record keeping, dispute management or legal obligations. Information that is no longer required may be deleted or de-identified where appropriate.

06 · Access, correction and concerns

You can ask what we hold or tell us something is wrong.

To request access to personal information we hold about you, ask for a correction, or raise a privacy concern, email support@dirtyibisdigital.com.

We will consider the request and respond within a reasonable timeframe. If your concern relates to Australian privacy law and remains unresolved, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner can provide information about privacy rights and complaint options.

07 · Changes

If our practices change, this page changes too.

We may update this privacy page as the website, services or information-handling practices evolve. The latest version will be published here with an updated date.
